Night and Fog

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Those words by George Santayana have rolled around in my head for decades, since I first heard them as a young adult. Perhaps this explains my love of history, and the lessons therein. Being the first generation born after World War II, we have a ringside seat to what that time of upheaval did to the generation before us…our parents’ generation.
